London based film-maker. His career has spanned fashion, music and documentaries. Our Most Brilliant Friends marked his debut feature film - his previous work with Slow Club allowing him to build a trust that resulted in what the Florida Film Festival said “might be the most honest portraits of a band’s demise ever captured”. The Guardian called it “Stunning”. He’s recent work has involved helping Self Esteem shape her visual world as he directed the first three vids to the critically acclaimed debut album, Compliments Please.

Piers is currently working on music videos and developing other documentary and drama projects.

A background predominantly in Commercials and Music Videos, where over his career he has produced films for Nike, Adidas, Orange, Olympus, JC Penney, Diet Coke as well as music videos for the likes of The Streets, LCD Soundsystem, Bat for Lashes, Badly Drawn Boy, Basement Jaxx, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Kings of Leon, to name but a few.

In 2007 he produced Cadburys’ Gorilla which went on to win many awards, including the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2008.

In 2010 Matthew started his own production company, Riff Raff Films, which has gone on to win Creative Circle’s “Most Creative Production Company” for the last two years, 2017 & 2018.

This is the first feature Matthew and Riff Raff have produced. But it will not be the last.
